About Untourist

Untourist is a curated, audio-narrated walking-tour companion for New York City. It plays narration as you walk, triggered by where you are. It knows when you've drifted off the route and gently nudges you back.

We started Untourist because the city we live in is not the city on the tourist checklist. The best walks happen in the seams — a stoop with a story, an arch you usually walk past, a neighborhood park at a time of day no guidebook mentions.
